Running and Being. The races (which arent actually races) are on another page and this is actually the link

and also you can see how i am getting to places now including my feet for proof! but unfortunately the little red car over heated because i forgot about the water, or something, i think, so then it broke, after blue smoke came out of it, it was like the movies, but its being fixed now in Coventry and it will be ok. so its like my shin at the moment. we are in synch, me and the car. so i'm going to ask the mechanic for instructions on how to look after the car so that it doesnt blow up in the middle of the road.

about 2 recent running days in my running collection

Also, the arrows made of flour for the Compton run really worked well, even in the rain, they looked sort of like chalk dust, and I think people tried not to stand on them so they could still be there for other runners, that could have been due to the instruction 'if you cannot run without leaving a trail of rubbish behind you then please do not come to Compton' so maybe that made people care about other things and people too.
After 20 miles, you could choose to carry on and do another 20 miles, or you could choose to go down a little hill and finish for the day. Most of the 2nd twenty miles i was running alone checking the arrows and it was quite nice, but about the last I think 8 miles, I ran with Tom, who is in retirement now, he was in training for a 100 mile event in May which he said he does every year, so that made it feel like we were just doing a little jog and it was quite fun and we were glad at the end as it had been raining and we'd both kept going in the rain, we only walked when there was very extremely gloopy mud that you cant run in, but we walked fast. Mostly the trails are single track so you have to go single file which is good if you dont know what to say.(about walking in Trail Ultra races in general - i noticed a lot of people put their hands on the part of their legs above their knees when they are doing hill walking, which is what you do in Ultra Marathons as the energy you conserve outweighs the few seconds you would gain by running up the hill. I think its like a strategy. I think joining your hands to your legs is like a way of enouraging yourself to keep going up the hill, it kind of works quite well. they do it on the fells in Scotland too)

Lately I have probably been rambling on a bit too much about running, its just I have to.
